BLUEBERRY (VACCINIUM ANGUSTIFOLIUM)

Blueberries are native to North America, although they are now also grown in several countries of the Southern Hemisphere.
The fruit is a 5-16mm diameter berry with a flared “crown” at the end. Its color is indigo when ripe. Blueberry production in North America typically starts in mid-May and ends in September. Blueberry season peaks in July, which is National Blueberry Month in the United States.
